Graphic Design Studio and Print Shop

Images Inter Alia
Images Inter Alia provides a variety of services. Whether it’s simple photocopies and printing, large format printing, photo restoration, or collages and calendars. With Julia having a Masters in Marketing she can come up with new and exciting ideas to promote yourself or your company. Mindy being a graphic artist can help assist clients with custom designed logos or illustrations, for booklets and pamphlets.
Many document, graphic and brochures can benefit from the impact of added colour. We at Images can help you design, modify and produce your coloured work, no matter how large or small, in a timely cost-effective manner.
Photographs, negatives and colour and b&w documents, digital media, artwork and even hand sketches, can be scanned or electronically input to our digital equipment, then modified and enhanced by our staff of specialists.
The results can be printed in any size, from small photo up to large wall size. Output media can be booklet paper, graphic paper, photo paper, artist board, canvas, vinyl banner, backlit sign and other media.
Printers available are laser, ink jet, dye submission or full colour offset. We choose the appropriate device for the job.
Copies can be burned to CD’s or transmitted electronically to client files. Processed images can be reproduced as different products. For instance, a graphic printed as a picture to be framed, can be modified and reproduced as – for example- a greeting card.
Bulky business documents such as archive files can be reduced down to compact, retrievable form on CD’s.
Finished printed documents can be bound, stapled, laminated, mounted on different backing media, or framed.
Businesses, Service Clubs, Professions, Church Organizations, Householders, Artists, Photographers and Educational Groups have used our services.
Our industry is often deadline oriented and we are available to meet our client’s requirements. Most job scan be done while you wait. Other, more elaborate jobs may need consultation and test printing before final production.
Julia Dashkevich
Julia fell in love with Perth years ago on a visit with family here and returned as a permanent resident and business owner.
Although she has been working at Images for over three years, she took over as owner of Images Inter Alia in July, and says her new career is exactly what she wants to do with her life.
Offering printing and graphic design work, she says she knows she is not the only company of this nature in this market, but says she prides herself on her company being different. She ensures a quick turn-around, and one-on-one sessions with clients to make sure they are happy with the end result.
Julia has the unique ability to make customers feel welcome, whether they are working on a project or just coming by to share a laugh on their coffee break.
With a master’s degree in marketing, Julia is able to assist clients with advertising and promotional ideas.
A woman of many talents, Julia makes use of a large space on the second floor of the building, operating a language school.
Lessons in Spanish, French, Hebrew and Russian are offered at The Linguist Club. English as a second language is also offered.
“I welcome the idea of bringing new languages and cultures to the area,” says the Russian-born business owner. “It’s not as academic as much as [courses of] cultural interest.”
Julia enjoys her new life in Perth. After graduating in Bulgaria, she visited Robin and his wife, Pam, who are relatives. “I was introduced to life in Perth and I loved it.”
She returned to Bulgaria, married, had a daughter (Nikol) and, after 10 years, is back in Perth. “I think I made the right decision. I love the job I do right now. I have never regretted coming to Canada, and especially to Perth. I’m very happy to be part of this community.”
Mindy Brown
Mindy brings very strong art and computer backgrounds to the company. With classical animation and graphic design degrees, she has a wealth of experience. She uses a variety of design programs on her projects. Mindy also has a great deal of experience in illustration, and in fine arts painting which helps in some of the projects Images Inter Alia is involved with.
As the artistic side of the company, Mindy has a lot of creative ideas and puts them towards the projects she is involved in. She is able to assist clients with whatever they may need, whether it is hand drawn logos, or more graphic based design. Mindy tends to get blamed for the “wackier” ideas Images Inter Alia comes up with. She feels that this blame is often misplaced, and that the “butt” business card holders were a group effort.
Working at Images Inter Alia in Perth, as well as residing on a farm in Lanark County, gives Mindy the time she needs to pursue her other interest. Horseback riding. She competes with her two horses in the discipline of Dressage.
